A man accused of having underage sex with a girl is alleged to have bought alcohol for her and a group of her friends.
Christopher John Crellin appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
The 35 year old entered no plea to a charge of having sex with the 14 year old girl on March 25 last year.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood told the court the girl was drunk on alcohol Mr Crellin is said to have bought, and another man had also been charged with having underage sex with her on the same date.
Mrs Hughes said the allegation was so serious it would be dealt with by the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
She remanded him in custody until he’s next due to appear on January 24.
