An alleged drug dealer has been remanded in custody as he faces charges of possessing £40,000 of cannabis with intent to supply it.
Kyle Brian Molyneux of Castlemona Avenue appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse, but entered no pleas.
He’s accused of possessing two kilos of cannabis bush with intent to supply the class B drug as well as possessing cocaine.
Barry Swain, prosecuting, said police watched the 23 year old pick up boxes behind a butcher’s shop on Strand Street on February 28.
He and two other men loaded the boxes into a van and drove them to a house in Willaston, which was later raided by officers.
As well as cannabis, Mr Swain told the hearing police found small amounts of cocaine in Mr Molyneux’s jacket pocket.
A bail application was refused by magistrates, and the case was adjourned until March 12.
