Andrew Corrie, of Lakeside Road in Douglas, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 53-year-old is alleged to have committed the offences between May last year and February this year - he's said to have defrauded Marks and Spencer.
Mr Corrie made no plea and the case has been adjourned April 18.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 until that date.
