A man accused of assaulting a woman was too drunk to face magistrates when his case was called.
Nathan Alexander Orme of Anagh Coar Road in Douglas was due to appear before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
However, his advocate told the court his 29 year old client had taken to the festive spirit early and couldn’t enter the dock despite turning up for the hearing.
Magistrates agreed to adjourn the case and Orme, who denies assault on October 28, was bailed to appear again on January 5.
