Robert Anthony Mcconville of Coronation Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 57 year old is said to have punched his former partner at their home on March 20 and had been remanded in custody.
His advocate Jane Gray said a new bail address had been found and was now available.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £250 on condition he live at the address on Grosvenor Road in Douglas and doesn't contact his alleged victim.
He'll appear in court again on May 16.
