The majority of the vacancies advertised at the Island's Job Centre over the past year were in the hospitality industry.
That's according to the response to a Freedom of Information request, which asked for the number of open positions broken down by sector.
Figures released by The Treasury show 665 of the vacancies were in hotels, catering and bar work.
The next highest numbers were for retail and sales jobs with 329, and admin/clerical work at 285.
