After earlier assurances that the Island were coping with the demand for flu vaccine’s it would appear that they have now hit problems.
After a very busy week of people requesting the jab stocks on the Island have become seriously depleted.
To make matters worse it is becoming impossible to replenish the supplies with demand for the drug all across the UK outstripping supply.
To help the situation stocks of a swine flu vaccine known as Pandemrix has been made available, used exclusively for those in the at-risk groups.
If you do not have underlying health problems you’re asked not to seek the vaccination currently.
Also if you have the flu you’re urged to not leave youre home until you’ve been free of a fever for 24 hours.
