A major incident has been declared in Laxey as flooding devastates the town this morning.
Severe weather has seen the town cut off today with Police reporting vehicles being washed away and several people being trapped in their homes.
All emergency services and government agencies have been mobilised in response - those trapped in the area are being told to go to the upstairs of houses and wait for further instructions.
Meanwhile, an amber weather warning for heavy rain is now in force until 4pm across the Island.
