A busy connecting route in Ramsey is set to be shut for 3 months.
The iconic Ramsey Swing Bridge is set to undergo important maintenance work if Tynwald grant permission for the spending.
The DOI will seek permission in tomorrow's sitting for the remainder of the £750,000 needed to complete the works; £100,000 has already been granted.
The project would ensure the long-term safe and cost-effective operation for the bridge, which was built in 1892.
According to Harbour Master Captain Michael Brew it will be a tricky process:
