Trams cancelled, buses diverted.
The main road in Laxey is closed off due to a serious incident this morning.
Details are sketchy at the moment but the closure was enforced on New Road Laxey as a matter of emergency from it's junction of Old Laxey hill to it's junction of Minorca Hill.
The emergency services closed the road at around 7:30AM.
Police have told 3FM that the incident is still on - going and the road is likely to be closed for the foreseeable future.
The coast road is still open but diversions are in place.
The buses are diverted via the mountain, and the trams coming out of Douglas have been cancelled. Police requested that the power be switched off.
Keep tuned into 3FM for the latest on the roads. We'll keep you updated to any changes as soon as we know.
