From today all mail will be delivered to and dispatched from the Island via ferry.
The Post Office says this will result in some changes for existing UK services.
Special Delivery will now become a two day service, with standard mail being delivered in minimum of two days.
A UK guaranteed next day service will continue to be available for residential customers from the customer counter at the headquarters in Braddan on a trial basis.
It comes as Royal Mail implements changes to remove the Isle of Man from the 'UK Postal Scheme.'
