A man escaped with just minor injuries yesterday following a serious crash near Crosby.
Fire crews from Douglas and Peel attended the scene at St Patrick’s Chair on Garth Road where the driver’s car was on its roof in a river.
The vehicle had come to rest after rolling down a steep embankment but the man was able to free himself.
He was the sole occupant of the car and called the rescue services after he’d scrambled to safety.
Emergency services arrived shortly afterwards to make the vehicle safe and secure the site.
