The mother of a teenage girl who was killed in a car crash on Saturday has urged young motorists to slow down.
Julie Porter’s 14-year-old daughter Lucia was killed when the car she was travelling in, along with seven others, crashed on the Switchback Road.
Two men – aged 18 and 19 - have been released on police bail after being arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.
Describing her daughter as ‘absolutely lovely’ Julie says the family has been left completely devastated by the incident.
She says until Lucia’s death she didn’t even know the road, which is an accident hotspot, existed:
