Lord Street and Parade Street development to be re-advertised

A major commercial plot in Douglas will soon be re-advertised for development.

It has rejected a bid for the Lord Street and Parade Street sites in Douglas after months of negotiations.

The preferred bidder was turned down because it didn't comply with 'established procurement practices'.

The department is trying to encourage significant new investment into the town to 'support the growing economy.'
