Will we finally see development on the Lord Street bus station site?

The prime Douglas area, along with the adjacent Parade Street car park, have been ringfenced for redevelopment with expressions of interest invited by government.

All proposals will be subject to planning approval but a mixed commercial use - incorporating leisure facilities, a hotel, shops and offices is envisaged.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says potential developers have until March 13th to register their interest:
