Locals invited to turn out for Armed Forces Day

Islanders are invited to turn out in their droves this Sunday to mark Armed Forces Day.

The day gives locals the chance to honour serving personnel both past and present.

There will be the usual march along Douglas Promenade, consisting of veterans who served in World War 2, upto present day with a number of current Manx Marines also lined up to appear.

The march will make its way to the Villa Marina, where there will be a special themed service, focussing on Sacrifice.

The parade will get underway at 2.45pm, with the church service and subsequent refreshments commencing at 3.45pm.
