Trevor Hemmings Launches Take Over Bid For Championship Club
Island based entrepreneur Trevor Hemmings could be about to solve Preston North End’s financial problems after launching a rescue package.
Cash strapped Championship side Preston are currently looking at the very real possibility of going into administration, which would bring to an end a long era of being one of Lancashire’s favourite clubs.
Trevor Hemmings has been the majority share holder in the club for some time has been subbing the club massive amounts of money over the past season to keep them afloat, even paying the players wages out of his own pocket.
He has now formed a company with the intention of taking over Preston North End and offering them a short-term solution while they continue the search for investors for the long term.
As part of the takeover bid he’s made an offer to shareholders of 5 pence per share.
