Members of a local cricket club will benefit from new playing and storage facilities thanks to the Manx Lottery Trust.
A £14,000 grant will go towards an Astroturf wicket and large storage container for the Grays Peel and St John's club.
The junior membership of the club has grown by 200% in the last three years, with a scheme for children aged 3 to 6 currently running.
Peter Lewis, Senior Committee Member, says the wicket had succumbed to wear and tear, and the freight container was at the ground for more than 20 years, so was in desperate need of replacement.
