A local man is celebrating getting the all clear from cancer by embarking on one of the toughest rally's on the circuit.
Ian Tunney was diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid three years ago, after two operations and radiation he was recently given the all clear.
As a result of his experience he decided to enter into the Roger Albert Clark Rally, and raise money for Hospice Isle of Man along the way.
He's racing in an ex-factory Mitsubishi Starion car, which only recently needed an entire engine replacement due to mechanical problems.
The rally started yesterday, and will cover 1,200 miles through the famous forest tracks of England, Scotland and Wales.
