An author from the Isle of Man says he hopes he can help inspire children to take up writing.
Chris Ewan is mid-way through a six month stint as writer in residence and will visit 15 primary schools as part of the Island of Culture initiative.
Children in years five and six are being challenged to write short stories based around the theme of the Manx coastline.
Ewan – whose Good Thief’s Guide books are being made into a television series – says he’s happy to be involved:
Forecast high winds cancel three ferries
New Iranian ruler tied to Manx-registered company
Temporary speed limits around TT course from this week
Government considers laws for BYOB events
Police warn about bad behaviour in school - by parents
