Local actress Samantha Barks has bagged a starring role in a new Broadway musical - Pretty Woman next year.
The 26 year-old originally found fame on Andrew Lloyd-Webber's 2008 talent show 'I'd do Anything' on BBC One, and later featured in the 2012 film Les Miserables.
Samantha will play Vivian - a character originally played by Julia Roberts, for which she won a golden globe.
