A Liverpool man has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after police found more than £30,000 worth of drugs hidden in his car.
33-year-old Christopher Paul Mcdougall, of Waterloo Road, had stashed cocaine and cannabis in a secret compartment of his Jaguar.
Police stopped Mcdougall outside The Sefton Hotel in Douglas just before 9.30pm on January 24th.
They searched him and found he was carrying a large wad of cash and 'tick lists' - his hotel room was searched where officers found both cash and cocaine.
A subsequent search of the car he'd travelled to the Island in, just three hours before, revealed cocaine with a street value of £25,000 and cannabis valued at over £5,000.
Mcdougall later admitted unlawfully producing the Class A and B drugs into the Isle of Man and possession of both with intent to supply.
He also admitted possession of cocaine and criminal property and a separate charge of introducing articles into the Island's prison in March last year.
Mcdougall will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery - he'll next appear there on February 18th; there was no application for bail.
