Lineup of riders announced for TT launch

With less than 50 days to go until this year’s event kicks off, it’s all eyes on Wednesday’s launch at the Villa Marina.

 

All of the solo race winners from last year are confirmed to attend including 17-times champion John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop, Gary Johnson and Bruce Anstey.

 

The Birchall Brothers, who will be racing for former champion, Klaus Klaffenbock’s new team and 14-time champion Dave Molyneux who is returning to competition this year, will also be appearing.

Other race winners include Ryan Farquhar, who will be hoping for victory in the new Lightweight Race, veteran Ian Lougher, competing in his 28th TT and 2008 double race winner Cameron Donald.

 

Ian Hutchinson will be updating fans on his recovery from injury and last year’s fastest newcomer Simon Andrews will be answering questions about his new factory Honda ride with Honda TT Legends.

 

High-profile Tyco Suzuki team-mates Guy Martin and Ramsey’s Conor Cummins will be discussing their ambitions to finally be standing on the top step this year.

 

Journalists from all over the world will be in attendance, as will UK national newspapers including the Daily Telegraph and Ireland’s Belfast Telegraph and Newsletter have also confirmed as have ITV.
