An RNLI volunteer's been honoured with a medal for 30 years of service to the charity.
Mick Hewer first signed up in the early 90s after hearing maroon rockets being launched to signal rescuers.
The healthcare worker has since volunteered as both shore and lifeboat crew.
He remembers how much technology's changed from when crew would have to manually rotate the lifeboat to ready it - now done by a launch vehicle.
