Ramsey lifeboat was called to rescue someone who got cut off by the tide last night.
The incident happened between Ballure and Port Lewaigue beaches just after 6.30pm.
RNLI volunteers transferred the injured person to the lifeboat using an inflatable boat and took them to Ramsey Harbour, where they were assessed by ambulance staff.
Coxswain Mark Kenyon says people should check tidal conditions before walking into areas that could lead to difficulties at high tide - and they shouldn't be afraid to call for help if necessary.
