A yacht with three people and a small child aboard had to be towed back to shore by the Island's RNLI.
Just before 8pm on Wednesday night the yacht lost power around three miles of the coast.
The Douglas all-weather lfieboat - Marine Engineer was called out to assess - and towed the vessel back to the Island's capital.
With the yacht safely berthed the RNLI volunteers returned to station and the lifeboat was rehoused ready for the next callout.
