Port Erin lifeboat crew were called into action on Saturday afternoon.
The Muriel and Leslie launched at around 3pm after reports a vessel was in difficulties.
They found the boat, which had suffered engine failure.
RNLI volunteers managed to get the engine working again and escorted the vessel back to Port Erin.
