Ramsey lifeboat was called to help a fishing boat that broke free of tow lines 10 miles East of the Island.
The boat was being towed from the Island to Workington when it broke free at 5.45am on Sunday.
Ramsey lifeboat found the drifting, unlit and unmanned vessel an hour later and reattached a tow cable.
Workington lifeboat, which was also called to the scene, then took the boat to her home port.
