The Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man has had his term extended.
Sir John Lorimer was originally meant to end his term September 30 2026.
However a proposal to extend his tenancy was submitted because of his constitutional role in national elections which are due to take place on 24 September 2026.
His excellency will now serve until no later than 27 August 2027.
