Liberal Vannin Leader has Private Members Bill Endorsed by MHKs
In Tynwald this morning Liberal Vannin leader Peter Karran secured backing for his Private Members’ Bill which aims to solve the issues left by the ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement.
As part of the scheme Mr Karran told his fellow MHK’s that after sourcing the best deal possible he could ensure that cover could be provided for those travelling to the UK at an additional cost of £1.70, per person, per trip.
There will be no additional administration charges placed on that fee and it includes both air and harbour fees.
The response in today’s sitting of Tynwald was a stark contrast to when he originally raised the idea in October when he failed to even find a seconder.
