The vice chairman of the Liberal Vannin Party has resigned because of so-called 'disillusionment'.
Pat Ayres announced his decision to stand down during yesterday's General Election.
He stood unsuccessfully in Ayre and Michael recording just 39 votes.
Speaking before the election Mr Ayres said he wouldn't have allowed his party to dictate his views in the House of Keys:
