One of the prominent members of the Isle of Man’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender group has spoken out against how long its taken to have civil partnership legislation introduced on the Isle of Man.

Its implementation comes nearly five years on from that of the UK.
It now means that same sex couples can enter into a civil partnership and be afforded the same rights as that of a married couple.
Ryan said that over the past 2 years there has been a definite improvement in attitudes on the Isle of Man, but there is still a long way to go.
