The number of letters being sent has dropped by nearly 50 per cent in the past decade.
The Isle of Man Post Office say letter mail volume has dropped 47% in the last 10 years.
They say the digital era is having a real impact on the way people are using the postal service.
This comes following the news that the Crosby Terrace Post Office in Douglas will close at the end of August.
