The Island's fire service is asking people to let them know if they're burning off hay or grass.
It comes following crews called out to a report of a large grass fire in Crosby earlier this week, but found it was burning off.
The scene had also been left unattended, putting a nearby hedge at risk of catching alight.
Anyone burning off is asked to let the Emergency Services Joint Control Room know beforehand.
