Statistics show the number of people moving to the Island from Hong Kong was at its peak three years ago, but has since dropped dramatically.
A Freedom of Information request asked for the number of people applying to the Isle of Man British National (Overseas) Visa scheme - which allowed people from the former British colony to relocate here.
In 2021,when the Chinese government passed new laws restricting the press and arrested media tycoon Jimmy Lai, 14 people applied to relocate with 11 dependents.
So far this year, only two applications have been made.
