The Isle of Man Local Research Ethics Committee is looking for a new lay member to join the team.
The role would be to provide independent advice to the Department of Health relating primarily to research ethical standards.
The committee reviews research proposals to ensure the dignity, safety and wellbeing of the research participants is protected.
There are no formal qualifications needed, although applicants must be independent from the Department’s of Health and Social Care.
The committee meets every two months at Noble’s Hospital, and members are appointed for a fixed term of five years.
