A local fund is hoping to match current financial support for victims of the Laxey floods this month.
The Laxey Fund was started by the Rotary Club of Onchan and it's co-ordinator and Garff Commissioner, Nigel Dobson, says they're looking to match the £500 grants from government for those impacted by the severe weather on October 1.
The fund has already recevied a £25,000 boost from Zurich International and is hoping people will be willing to donate to its cause.
Mr Dobson adds they want to hear from residents who require financial assistance so they can start allocating resources.
Those looking to apply are asked to write to Garff Commissioners office with evidence of flood damaged property - applications will start being considered from November 4 but submissions can be made after then.
