Last House of Keys sitting of the year today

Today will see the final House of Keys sitting of 2023, with a packed order paper.

Kicking off proceedings Member for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, Jason Moorhouse will enquire what consideration has been given to the land behind the new development at Castle Rushen High School.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford will ask how much money from the dormant assets fund is currently being managed by the Manx Lottery Trust, and what criteria is in place when access to these funds is requested by the trust.

Chris Thomas MHK has also had an urgent question tabled seeking an update on the ongoing dispute and proposed changes to the terms and conditions of Steam Packet crew and the ballot for industrial action - it was announced last night that Nautilus members have voted to strike.

Elsewhere we'll find out what action has been taken in the last 15 months to replace the planters in St Marks, levels of parking enforcement during evenings and weekends on Island, and if there'll be an update on the ongoing teachers' pay negotiations.
