Today is the last day that you\'re able to post Christmas mail to the UK and Channel Islands.
If you want your mail to reach the recipient by Christmas then today is the cut off, however for last minute gifts you can send special delivery as late as Friday, that comes with a compensation level of £500.
Post for local delivery should be sent by Friday, there will also be a normal postal delivery on Christmas Eve.
The Post Office say due to the adverse weather conditions over the last few weeks and the limited ferry crossings, it is taking longer for parcels to arrive on the Island than usual.
