The owner of land in Sandygate has applied for planning permission to build a Viking village for education and entertainment purposes.
Christian Hall hopes to build a shop and café, a blacksmith's forge, a classroom or function hall, activity areas throughout the woods, and a Viking temple on his land at Kattegat on Jurby Road.
He also plans to keep the site as eco-friendly as possible, using solar power and his own trees for building materials.
If approved, the attractions will be run by volunteers, and will be available for workshops, school trips, and functions such as weddings
