The Department of Infrastructure says Ramsey's Swing Bridge will open to pedestrians during essential repair work.
The bridge closed today for around three weeks as contractors replace wooden joists and decking.
The DOI originally said it would be shut to both traffic and pedestrians.
But this morning the Northern Chamber of Commerce said it had been in touch with the department, and pedestrians will be allowed to cross it when it's safe to do so.
