Lamara Craine has been appointed as the deputy leader of the IoM Green Party for the third year running.
The Ramsey resident took to Twitter to make the announcement.
In a statement on the party website Ms Craine is described as a "passionate member of the Ramsey community"
She holds an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University and a Masters Degree in Biodiversity and Conservation from the University of Leeds.
The Isle of Man Green Party is a registered political party to lead sustainable change for the Isle of Man.
