Keys to discuss teachers industrial action

The industrial action from teaching unions will be discussed in the House of Keys next week.

Garff MHK Daphne Caine will ask Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, what the potential impact will be of the continuing dispute between unions and the Department of Education, Sport & Culture.

Members of the NAHT, ASCL and NASUWT are taking action short of a strike as a result of the disagreement over pay and conditions - Education Minister, Graham Cregeen MHK, has previously said it won't impact childrens education.

The next Keys sitting takes place next Tuesday (February 4) in Douglas from 10am.
