Members of the House of Keys will sit at 10 am to resume discussions over the Assisted Dying Bill’s 14 clauses.
During yesterday’s sitting Dr Alex Allinson MHK went through each clause up until the ninth, after which Chief Minister Alf Cannan MHK had questions about the legal implications of such a clause:
Claire Christian MHK asked the Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson SHK if the House could separately debate the Bill’s clauses, to which the Speaker approved.
The House rejected a motion to delay the debate until November by the Chief Minister, with 14 votes against and nine for.
