Kewaigue Road has closed after Manx Utilities work ran into unexpected difficulties.
The route is now shut between Ellenbrook Avenue and the bridge before Kewaigue Primary School.
It's due to reopen again at 7am on Monday, February 23.
Manx Utilities had temporary traffic lights in place as it carries out work, but says unforeseen ground conditions means it has to shut the route.
