Cyclist Peter Kennaugh has been crowned Sportsman of the Year saying it is an “honour” to represent the Island.
He picked up the accolade at last night’s Isle of Man Sports Awards which mark the sporting achievements of our sportsmen and women.
Last year Kennaugh won the British National Road Race and gained a silver medal representing the Island in the points race at the Commonwealth Games.
Snowboard champion Zoe Gillings-Brier picked up the female equivalent being crowned Sportswoman of the Year.
Ramsey Rocket Conor Cummins was also awarded the Isle of Man Ambassador Award – the TT star came second in last year’s Senior TT Race.
