Keep your dog on a lead when walking through the Ayres nature reserve.
That's the warning from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says laws are in place to protect ground nesting birds in the area.
Minister Geoffrey Boot says dog owners should act responsibly and anyone who doesn't follow the law will be punished.
The legislation runs until Tuesday, July 31 and those who don't follow keep their dogs on leads could face a hefty fine of up to £2,500.
