Jury appointed in murder trial

A jury has now been officially sworn-in on the first day of a Castletown man's murder trial.

It took three attempts this morning to secure a panel of 12 jurors.

45-year-old Ian Anderson denies killing 60-year-old Neil Roberts between November 29th and December 2nd in 2013.

He has also pleaded not guilty to assault, causing actual bodily harm, against his wife between the same dates.

The trial is expected to last for at least 20 days - it will reconvene at 2pm this afternoon.
