Injuries in schools have jumped almost 50 per cent in the last year, according to figures from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
A Freedom of Information request asked for the number of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrence reports from schools since 2018.
In its response, the DESC said in 2022, 42 such incidents were seen in schools.
However, last year that figure had leapt to 64 – a rise of 48 per cent.
