Johnny Watterson\'s Lane Re-Opens

Johnny Watterson’s Lane today officially re-opened to the public despite yesterday’s sneak preview for the rush hour traffic.

Due to modern working methods the department of transport managed to shave 25 weeks of the initial estimated time for work completion.

Work has been ongoing throughout the majority of the summer, the stretch of road now features a new 7.3 metre wide carriageway, a new pavement for pedestrians between Hailwood avenue and campion way with a widened pavement between Cronk-y-Berry and Hailwood avenue.

The work will now make life easier and safer for both motorists and pedestrians.
